top: H&M | skirt: BCBG (similar) | beanie: BCBG | shoes: Nasty Gal
Let's take a moment to just marvel at this veil beanie okay. It literally takes everything in me to not wear it all day everyday. While I made my way down Robertson while still marveling over Ralph Lauren (see previous post) I stopped in BCBG and couldn't contain myself. Might I add they have a pretty cute hat collection goin' on right now. My top is H&M from a couple of weeks ago, and the bodicon pencil skirt is also BCBG probably last year.
have a safe + happy halloween

just peachy
skirt: Max Azria | sweater: Forever21 | jacket: A&F | collar: ASOS |
I remember when my mom purchased this stunning Max Azria maxi (these pictures do it no justice) some time ago, and just dying to wear it to Coachella. This collar is one of my favorite pieces this season, and ASOS has them in a plethora of beautiful colors! This sweater is probably one of my favorites for this time of year. Hitting just between a crop and full length sweater, and it's just the right shade of cream with a stellar quarter sleeve. The pearl-tone sequins are too much! My jacket is from Abercrombie probably half a decade ago, and the only reason I still adore it is for it's length. I have a pretty long torso making it comfortable and versatile. Nowadays I feel like denim jackets are far too short.. but that's just me.

high neck + pin stripes
somehow my RayBans all but disappear in my hands |
sweater: Lauren Ralph Lauren (similar) | top: H&M | jeans: Joe's | watch: Michael Kors | shoes: Nasty Gal |
I was at the Ralph Lauren store on Robertson the other day, and it hit me.. I really wouldn't mind curling up and spending eternity in there. As magnificent as the retail is, it was the decor that really solicited this idea. I picture myself dancing to my fall playlist after hours, and living a perfectly happy and comfortable life (looking quite chic I might add) reading all my favorite books with some earl grey lemonade. Hear me out, I would be more than willingly to depart during store hours because let's face it I'm never home then anyways, and if your reading Ralph email me and I'll send you my resume. I've never met such a space that encompasses so much of my style, and who I am (now this I'm serious about). I can feel the tears begin to well up as I imagine this so I'll stop. But come on I can live out my blissfully opulent Blair Waldorf lifestyle here in my hometown!
A girl can dream
Let me just say, I love TJ Maxx, where both my sweater and jeans were recently purchased. I even got a black and gold striped one because I couldn't resist. It's official I've been sucked into Nasty Gal's shoe cult. I've never been so excited over a pair of chelsea-esque boots that were so uncomfortable. Maybe it's the perceived future pain, but I can just feel the blisters coming. Although... there have been no injuries to record. I live in these jeans, in the two weeks I've had them I can't tell you how many times I've fallen asleep in them. Either they're ridiculously comfortable or my favorite Uncle Si-ism is taking over my life: "work hard, nap hard". My watch is Michael Kors' "Blake" watch, to read more about my most prized time piece click here.
I've never written that many contractions in one sitting my entire life.
Until next time

rainy days + glittery flats
Today I'm thankful for this much desired rain, and my pointed toe F21 flats, which remind me of these Miu Miu ballerinas. I apologize for the poor iPhone pic quality. Post to come so soon!

daily dose
My roommate and I decided to venture to downtown this past tuesday to do some exploring. Traffic was practically non-existent so it took us a brief thirty minutes! We stumbled upon a quaint little cafe called the daily dose where we enjoyed a scrumptious buena vista (I believe expresso, milk, and brown sugar) and I ate a flavor-filled jive turkey sandwich. All in all it was a great trip, and we plan to have many many more like it.

all white
top: Brandy Melville | jeans: J Brand | shoes: Report | sweater: Dream State | necklace: LF | sunglasses: Free People |
I purchased my top a while back mainly because I have really enjoyed Ayn Rand's work. If you haven't read anything by her I suggest Atlas Shrugged, which my father gifted to me on my sixteenth birthday. And the quote pictured above is one of my favorites: "the question isn't who is going to let me, it's who is going to stop me."
As of late my favorite outfits have been either all white or all black with a few choice pieces to set off my entire look. I love stars (as you can probably tell) and this rosary inspired necklace is no exception and literally had me swooning. I had been looking everywhere for this sweater so you can imagine the (figurative) tears of joy when I found it. And I mean come on these shoes are just bananas. The tiny gold detail around the rim of these velvet beauties sold me, and not to mention their price! Nordstrom listed them for $69.85 and LF is selling them for a cool $50. Enjoy.

fall wishlist
1. Faux Fur Collar: A definite must-have for this impending cooler weather. I mean instead of buying a lapel coat (which would be superb) you can throw this baby on practically any coat, and presto!
2. Mother of Pearl iPhone Case: Growing up mother of pearl always reminded me of my mama. So the stone has a quirky, yet sentimental place in my ever-growing heart. But probably not the best investment for my butterfingers, this phone case seems über delicate.
3. Patent Leather Booties: Hello Stockholm! Pointed toe, chunky heel, black patent leather, and the thin strap detail. Enough said!
4. Gold Cat-eyed Sunnies: Join the gilded era with these beauties. I would love to play up this statement piece with a vampy deep red lip! Somewhat reminiscent of Miley's shades in her 'We Can't Stop' video, which are crafted by the ever-talented Tom Ford.
5. Grey Knit Zip-up Coat: I mean the neutrality of the tone and the simplistic, yet oh so chic structure. I creates a coziness that dress up your everyday scarf and boots.
6. North Star Lavender Bracelet: Anything art deco and lavender, is a major yes. A legendary bracelet.
7. Rose Gold Triplet Ring Set: Good things come in three's... right?
8. Black Legging Boots: Perfect for the cooler months and can be paired with practically every outfit.
9. Oxblood Heart Calfskin Tennies: Perfect combo incorporating some of my favorite feminine and masculine features. Especially considering the Vans inspired slip-on trend reintroduced by Céline.
If you can't tell I have an unruly infatuation with gold. In the same accord I think simplicity is key, but considering how bold these pieces are, you can easily off-set any simple outfit. I absolutely love the versatility of these pieces, and would die a happy death to obtain and incorporate each item into my fall wardrobe.

what my disposable camera has to say..
doin' my thing amongst some haters |

Much like the clothes in my closet I've had these cameras in my drawer collecting dust just waiting to be remembered. Finally, I got around to developing these babies, and the anticipation of what is on them is always so exciting. Invest in a disposable camera, and you'll be impressed with how hipster and cool you too can look. Obviously.. who doesn't want their life to seem that much more intriguing.
